This is a small but charming center. Account with spaces and materials needed to make almost any activity, i mean, a kitchen, a small gym for sports, a workspace with two tables and two blackboards, an area for activities of ceramics, two offices, a zone of computers and two stores. Account with slip material (also of ice) ,of skate, hockey, pin pon, ski and snow, there are table football, billiard, books, table games, material for crafts, definitely, everything that is essential and a little more.
I had my first meeting, in which i solve all my doubts, Ivana gave me the contract, my monthly payment, program of activities and the ethical foundations. I also have a first contact with the children.
The supermarket is very complicated in the first moment because I don’t understand nothing of Czech and the help of my colleagues is a relief. I bought a typical dessert czech with honey, which is very similar to Italian tiramisú, really rich "marlenka“.
Here in the winter at five in the afternoon get dark so we decided to leave the tour for the next day. On saturday we went to the town hall square and we crossed to the Polish side, call Cieszyn and separated Těšín by the Olza river, from the bridge we could see the river area perfect for ride the bicycle. In Cieszyn there are another currency, another language, another different way of life, the squares of the city hall are similar but Cieszyn has stone in the streets, a flea market on saturdays and a park with a beautiful tower and a lookout point from where you can see all Český Těšín area.
To finish off the day we went to take a coffee with our mentors to know us a little bit and practice my English and Spanish (as the mentor of Silvia is studying our language).
The next day we took the bikes that we provided by the association and we toured around the river walk, is very nice and wide, perfect for the bike. The town is small and you can´t loss but there are a lot of residential neighborhoods, with very nice houses, here the roofs are prepared for the snow, very high almost vertical, i love. This is broadly the city I live in, Český Těšín!
